Mum says it was ok. Too firm! I added lots of goodies: Chinese dried sausage (Lap Cheong), chinese dried belly pork (lap yook), dried shrimp, chinese mushroom, some diced gammon, and some dried scallops! If I get round to it, I might blog it!PlumLeaf 李葉https://www.blogger.com/profile/04647944181903989013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918295853585496541.post-58640015566109796502011-02-11T12:54:57.819-08:002011-02-11T12:54:57.819-08:00grub, that sounds sooo good! I never tried it with radish cake before.

j3ss kitch3n, Thanks! I like the homemade version more than the ones at dim sum places because you can control the amount of oil you fry it with.

Sharon, Thanks Sharon! I haven't eaten spam in the longest time, but it sounds like a good idea. You add it in before you steam it right? I love eating spam musubi and I plan on making it one day again, when I can afford the frightening number of calories it offers. I can't believe I would eat 3 or 4 at one time, hahaa. Ok, I'm going off topic.

lena, Thank you. :) I can't believe I was missing out on this for pretty much my whole life just because I didn't like daikons, or most veggies for that matter until this past year.

pigpigscorner, I just found out a new name for Chinese sausages. I never knew they were called lap cheong. It must taste amazing with radish cake.E.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05261699336348926972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918295853585496541.post-89225066669750752342011-02-11T07:48:33.397-08:002011-02-11T07:48:33.397-08:00I like this with lap cheong!I like this with lap cheong!pigpigscornerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13049039101703360576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918295853585496541.post-64602407930768994562011-02-10T04:06:03.434-08:002011-02-10T04:06:03.434-08:00i love both the steam and the pan fried version an...i love both the steam and the pan fried version and your red baen nian gao looks really nice!lenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16425536535768950935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918295853585496541.post-32542364931913000952011-02-10T00:54:20.278-08:002011-02-10T00:54:20.278-08:00I love it fried, this looks delicious!
